Day 1, Ha Noi – Bac Kan.
Day 2, Bac Kan – Ba Be.

Day 1, Ha Noi – Bac Kan. 180km, 5 hr ride – Standard hotel.
Leaving Hanoi and breaking out of the delta plains, we pass through endless limestone karts scenery as we travel south through “Thay Pagoda”, country and extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads. Arrive in Bac Kan in the late afternoon. Night at hotel.
Day 2, Bac Kan – Ba Be. 80km, 2hr ride – Home – stay
The ride will takes us around the very end of the Song Gam mountain range, enjoying good riding on winding sealed mountain roads; the other crosses over the very end of the range and takes us through untarnished rain forest on a small paved road. The Song Gam mountain range is the main range of northeast Vietnam. From here it’s a short ride to the edge of BABE Lake, Overnight home-stay in the Tay's family.
Day 3, Ba Be – Cao Bang. 150km, 5hr ride – Standard hotel.
We leave Ba Be by a fantastic mountainous road, leading us along scattering high limestone formations and heavily forested hills. Further north is Cao Bang province, a remote area on the border with China. Cao Bang is sparsely populated. It has several ethnic communities in villages hardly affected by tourism. Cao Bang is famous for its graceful mountains, grottos and streams. Arrive in Cao Bang in Late after noon. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 4, Cao Bang – Lang Son, 160km, 4hr ride – Standard hotel
Today we travel back in time - we go back to Indochina by driving the famous Colonial Road No. 4, where we pass villages like Dong Khe and That Khe. This place is well-known for its countless bloody fights during the 1950s between Viet Minh and the French Force. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Lang Son city and discover the central market. This market offers divers Chinese products as Lang Son is the trade-gateway between China and Viet Nam. Before checking in our hotel in Lang Son, we bring an interesting visit to Tam Thanh and Nhi Thanh grottos.
Day 5, Lang Son – Ha Long Bay. 200km, 6hr ride – Standard hotel
Ride to Halong bay through the lush of Red River vegetation. Arrival Halong bay pier and check-in registration, board our boat for a stunning cruise amongst towering limestone backdrop while enjoying lunch on board. The cruise will take you by exotic islets with shapes of Dog, Incense Urn, Sail, Fighting Cocks, which are naturally formed by process of erosion between the see water and limestone mountains. Get back to Halong City, Overnight at Hotel.
Day 6, Ha Long Bay – Ninh Binh. 190km 6hr ride – Stadard hotel.
Leaving Halong Bay then take the road no 18 to Hai phong, from Haiphong, you continue to go across the Red River Delta by taking the road no 10. Many stops en route to take photos of the rice fields and meet the local people. Lunch in a local restaurant. You arrive in Ninh Binh in the early afternoon. After check in hotel, you will have a short bamboo boat trip to discover the Tam coc river also called the Halong Bay on land.
Dinner and night at the hotel.
Day 7, Ninh Binh – Vinh. 200km, 6hr ride – Standard hotel.
Today you start your ride on the National road, a very busy traffic road going through many different towns, this day could be the hardest day to ride. We stop in a small town for lunch, take a short break then continue to Vinh. You arrive in Vinh in the late afternoon. Night at the Hotel.
Day 8, Vimh – Dong Hoi, 220km 7hr ride – Standard hotel.
After breakfast at Hotel, we start the ride to Dong hoi, today is a beautiful day ride with nice landscape and passes as Deo ngang and Ly hoa Passes. You arrive in Dong hoi in the afternoon, Dong hoi is a beautiful city located by the very famous Nhat le beach, You also have the chance to visit the fishing villages around this area. Dinner in a local place of special typical fish Hotpot. Night at the hotel.
Day 9, Dong Hoi – Khe Sanh. 170km 6hr ride – Standard hotel.
We strike south through foothills which were once sprayed heavily by Agent Orange towards the former DMZ. There is still much evidence of bombing on the mountain sides and from time to time we will see remnants of the original Trail. We take in the Vinh Moc tunnel, the famous Hien Luong Bridge (former demarcation line between North and South Vietnam, the Truong Son Cemetery and finally Khe Sanh (former US Marine base). Overnight in Khe Sanh.
Day 10, Khe Sanh – Hue. 180km, 5 hr ride – Standard hotel.
In the morning we head south over the Da Krong Bridge (built by the Cubans in 1973) into the infamous A Shau valley, an area of intense wartime activity. Passing Hamburger Hill and mountains still barren due to the extended effects of Agent Orange, we arrive at A Luoi, where there are many Bru Van hill tribe people. Then, cruising through green back country down the steep Me Oi Pass, we continue on to the beautiful city of Hue which lies along the banks of the Perfume River. Overnight in Hue.
Day 11, Hue.
Hue is the former imperial capital of feudal Vietnam and is a perfect place to relax after our driving to date. Take a boat cruise along the Perfume River to visit the tombs of the former Emperors Minh Mang and Tu Duc or visit the remains of the Imperial Citadel, which was largely destroyed during the Tet Offensive in 1968. Overnight in Hue.
Day 12, Hue – Hoi An. 160km, 4 hr ride, tour ends.
Join the National Highway 1 and head up the Hai Van Pass (Cloudy Pass) before the World Heritage site of Hoi An, a major trading centre in SE Asia in the 16th and 17th centuries. Arrive in Hoi An in the after noon. Tour ends.
